September Snow, Mentasta Mountains, Alaska – Plein Air

Judy and I found ourselves camping in an area called Kendesnii in the shadows of the Mentasta Mountains in Alaska. The place was wonderfully remote and offered up great hiking and grayling fishing. The chill of September let us know we could only stay for 4 or 5 days as every morning we watched the snow line get lower on the Mentasta range.
