Balsamroot Time

Behind our house, here in Idaho, is a bench that seemingly holds up the mountains. During the spring, and especially in a wet year, the Balsamroot bursts forth in an amazing show of cadmium yellow. We have to types of Balsamroot, Arrow Leaf and Large Leaf and they bloom one after the other so the colorful display lasts for several weeks.
