Wired for Pheasant

German Wirehaired Pointer and Pheasant – This painting is based on one of my favorite coverts to hunt in western South Dakota. I could always rely on finding pheasant or sharptail around this old homestead. The buildings are all gone now, Mother Nature swallowed them up, but the old windbreak of trees still holds birds.
