Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Duck Hunters and Mallards – I was duck hunting at an old duck club near Nevada, Missouri when this composition came to mind. The blinds we were using had seen better days and were a bit rickety to say the least but it had such a good old time look about it I wanted to capture that feel in paint. The Chessie seemed like the perfect breed for this scenario along with the SxS the hunter is shooting.
