The Guardian – This painting is loosely based on an encounter I had with a wild stallion in the desert of northern Utah while I was hunting. Hiking up into a canyon I had a strange feeling that something was watching me. Looking up, there on the top of the ridge stood a whitish gray stallion staring down upon me. His imposing presence made me well aware that this was HIS territory.
