Blowdown Grouse

Brittany, Hunter, Ruffed Grouse –  Maine is where I cut my teeth on grouse hunting back in the early 80’s. Dense cover and rough terrain made for challenging shooting. You listened to the dog’s bell much more than you ever saw the dog and when that bell went silent you better remember exactly where you last heard it. Throw in the occasional moose and black bear and you have memories for a lifetime.
